or a Tutorial,
please send a half page summary of your proposed topic/content
by e-mail to the TPC chair:
Dr. Pascal Leuchtmann at
leuchtmann@emcz.ethz.ch

Please, read more about in information
for organizers.
Paper Submission
-
Authors of regular symposium papers are requested to submit
a full length preliminary paper in English by 4 July 2008.
In order to provide us with an appropriate insight to your proposal this paper
should ideally consist of, but not exceed, four pages
including the title, author's affiliation, abstract, figures, tables
and references.
Any other papers (for workshops, tutorials, special sessions etc.) have
later submission deadlines. Please refer to the
instructions
for preparation, typesetting, templates and further details of presentation.
Submissions can only be accepted electronically via the
Submission Portal which is now open.
Review Process
-
Regular symposium papers will be reviewed as to:
- Importance of the topic
- Technical relevance to the EMC community
- Novelty and originality (only previously unpublished papers)
- Content and clarity
Student Paper Prize
-
Papers considered for the Student Paper Prize are expected to be predominantly
the work of the student. In this case the total number of authors must not
exceed three. Papers co-authored by a student and his/her advisor are eligible,
provided the student is the principal author and presenter. Please indicate
during your electronic submission if you want to be considered for the
Student Paper Prize.
Note that a person working in a university toward
the Ph.D. degree is considered as a student.
Please bring some official certificate confirming your student
status with you.
Accepted Papers
-
Notifications of paper acceptance and the necessary information
to electronically submit the final version of the paper will be
sent to the authors not later than 8 August 2008.
Final papers must not exceed four pages including figures,
tables and references.
The templates provided for typesetting the
preliminary paper are also applicable for the final paper.
The final deadline for the submission of the final versions of
regular symposium papers (exclusively through www.emc-zurich.ch) is
10 October 2008.
No exceptions will be made and late submissions rejected.
