The following steps are applied to your proposal:
Information for Organisers of
Workshops, Tutorials and Topical Forum Events
(The organizing team or person is called "organiser")
- Preevaluation of the proposal by the TPC Chair.
- Short review among the whole TPC on a veto-basis.
- Notify the organiser to proceed and possibly submit a tentative list of topics/speakers until mid of July 2008.
- Final decision, fixing of date and time schedule within the symposium at the TPC meeting which takes place 2-3 August 2008.
- Publication of Workshops, Tutorials and Topical Forum titles/descriptions on the EMC Zurich Website soon after the TPC meeting.
- Submission deadline for all contributions to be included in the Conference CD: 17 October 2008.

EMC Zurich is a non profit organization that enjoys a long established, high international reputation. It can be fairly stated that the opportunity to make a presentation at EMC Zurich significantly raises the speaker's reputation in the worldwide EMC community. This is even more noticeable in the case of the organizers of tutorials and workshops.The continuing success of EMC Zurich is highly reliant on volunteers, including the organizers and speakers. As a gesture of our appreciation we do offer a gift to the speakers at the regular symposium whilst the organizers of the topical meetings, tutorials and workshops do benefit from additional advantages including free access to all tutorials and workshops, and a reduced symposium fee.
